We want our customers to get the most out of their skip bin, which is why we have written a few simple tips below!
As a rule of thumb, it is best to order a skip bin larger than you think. Visit our sizing page for skip bin sizes and weight inclusions. One cubic metre is equal to approximately one normal box trailer size load. If you are hiring a skip bin for your renovation, speak to your landscaper or builder and ask for their recommendation.
Categorising your waste can help you save. Our skip bin waste types are split into Concrete only bins, Green Waste Bins, Metal Only Bins and Construction and Demolition Bins (general waste). Our general waste bins are our most popular, used for a combination of waste types.
Please note that we do not provide skip bins for the following waste:
Pack your flat heavy items on the bottom of the bin. This will provide support for your other items. Try and distribute your weight evenly with packing the rest of the bin. Place bulky items in the middle and fill air pockets where possible. Place your lightweight items last. Filling your skip bin this way will maximise your capacity and make it easy for our bin drivers to lift and transport the bin.
